ONYX Artists pay a weekly rent of $150 due each Friday. There are no contracts. We encourage our artists to become thier own business while also becoming part of our team—which is aimed at longevity, growth, and loyalty rewards.
Your rental fee gives you access to:
• Your weekly stay which includes your space, Earthlite massage table, work station, stool, breakroom storage locker, an LED work light, and a well-maintained, ambient atmosphere for your clients.
• ONYX Online marketing and promotion.
• Custom ONYX designed content-marketing templates for Instagram and Facebook.
• General customer inquiry support via email.
• Acuity Online Scheduling Set Up.
ONYX Artists are required to:
• Be a licensed State of Michigan Esthetician, Cosmetologist and/or MD, RN, CNA.
• Hold proof of full-coverage insurance at all times.
• Fulfill required training with ONYX Masters.
• Purchase their own supplies and products, PhiBrow + NovaLash only unless given permission.
• Take responsibility for their own client satisfaction / dissatisfaction.
• Manage their schedules professionally.
• Treat co-workers with kindness and respect.
• Maintain positive integrity.

TRAINING
Masters is the title given to those with 5+ experience of consistent work in their field of expertise.
One-on-one training with Masters is available to those who are working at ONYX only. A minimum of 4 hours of training is required before working with our clientele referrals. Training will be waived with proof of proficiency in your portfolio.
Training is $150/hr.
Brows: 4-hours of mandatory shadowing and training with Master artists while they work with clients using microblading hand tools. You must provide your own models. May be waved when proper training has already been provided.
Lashes: 4-hours of mandatory shadowing and coaching using NovaLash certified techniques. You must provide your own models. May be waved when proper training has already been provided.

ABOUT REFERRAL FEES
At ONYX we don’t just build clients, we build clients for life. Our aim is to build our artist’s portfolio and talent to a level of confidence that they can thrive on. Our referral system is strong and ensures that our artists stay busy making a great income.
Our positive reputation in the industry will generate clients for you. Referral Fees is simply a commission based system. Artists will receive Master Artist’s touch-up clientele overflow, waitlist overflow, as well as those who book through the ONYX scheduling system.
Referral fees are paid for each service provided.
As your talent grows and you become more self-sustainable, your referral fee percentage drops. We are proud of our artists hard work and desire to support them in becoming nothing short of their very best.
